Security Engineer
Interested in this role?
Seezo is building at the intersection of Application Security and Generative AI to make world-class security accessible to every engineering team. Founded by industry veterans Sandesh (ex-Head of Security @ Razorpay) and Rakshitha (ex-Head of Customer Success @ PingSafe), we bring over 20 years of cybersecurity expertise to solving critical security challenges. We are backed by Accel, one of India's largest global VC firms, and Marsshot.
The Role
We're looking for a Security Engineer who wants to build and own security workflows for an AI-native application security product. This isn't a maintain-the-firewall role - you'll be driving quality across our core product, running security research on new areas, and helping shape our vision of what world-class AppSec looks like in the age of Gen AI. As an early team member, what you build here will directly define how engineering teams everywhere think about security.
Key Responsibilities
Build and own security workflows for our AI-native AppSec product, from design to deployment
Drive quality improvement across our core product: evals, ground truths, feedback cycles, and rule refinement
Security research: emerging tech exploration, and moonshot experiments
Mature our internal security tooling, scanning, monitoring, endpoint security, and pentest
Partner with customers to understand their unique security requirements and tailor the product to their needs
Collaborate with the engineering team to bake security best practices into our GenAI platform
Required Qualifications
We filter hard on these, please don't apply if these aren't a fit:
1-3 years of total experience in application security or adjacent roles
At least 1 year at a Tier-1 startup or scaleup
Hands-on automation and pipeline experience, you've built things that run without you babysitting them
Solid familiarity with major security frameworks: OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and how controls map across them
1+ year working on AppSec products or tooling, including meaningful experience with several of:
Security design reviews, threat modeling, or rule/policy authoring
Compliance framework mapping: NIST, ISO 27001, or similar
Tooling across the stack: container/cloud/network scanning, MDM, EDR, DLP
Preferred Qualifications
These signals matter to us, not dealbreakers, but they'll make your application stand out:
You are vocal about security: blogs, threat advisories, meetup talks, or community organising
You actively follow the security landscape: threat intel, research papers, Packetstorm, HN, X, and ideally share what you find
Strong extracurriculars, past or present: CTF wins, bug bounty submissions, GSoC, meaningful open-source contributions
Involvement in music, competitive sports, theatre, debate, or cultural leadership, we care about people who commit to things
